How did we meet?
We met a few years ago now doing a wedding, surprise, surprise! I was struck straight away by your friendliness and the ease of which you worked and helped to put everyone else at ease. We clicked straightaway and whenever we work together whether it’s a wedding or one of the many shoots we’ve done, I know it’s always going to be a lovely, fun experience.
What inspires you?
Lots of things, I love everything vintage and my make-up style tends towards very classic looks. People like Audrey Hepburn and in today’s terms, Meghan Markle, natural beautiful, strong women who used make-up to enhance rather than detract from their looks. I love working with Brides and creating looks that I know won’t age and my wish is that when they look at their photos in 10-20 years time, they’ll still love how they look.
I started in the Irish Academy of Beauty and did an ITEC in Make-up, from there I trained with Make-Up Forever and then with the amazing Zoe Clark School of Make-up. I clicked straight away with Zoe and went on to help her run her school and work back stage on a lot of different shows like Louise Kennedy, Peter Mark etc. From there I worked on Celebrity Operation Transformation, Room to Improve, Don’t Tell The Bride and regularly do shoots for RSVP and VIP. I now specialise in Bridal Make-up as that’s where my passion lies.
My favourite part of my job is working with Brides. I absolutely love helping them to create the vision of how they would like to look on their big day. There’s no greater satisfaction than handing a Bride a mirror when you’re done and them being delighted with how they look.
