Introducing Maria Manuscript from Scotland who is bringing love stories to life!

She is a calligrapher, stationer and stylist!

A specialists in weddings and events – creating bespoke props for styling and the very special silk ribbons with you own special calligraphy message on.

How did we meet?
Well… funny story really… Due to COVID-19, Lorraine living in Ireland and I living in Scotland… we’ve never officially met! So you’re probably now all wondering ‘who is this lass and how does she know our Lorraine?’ Well! Last Summer, I was honorably approached by Carrie at Hollie and Willow as she wanted me to take part in a styled shoot that Lorraine was also working on at Barrow House in Kerry, Ireland. This was a huge deal as it was one of the fist shoots I’d ever been asked to take part in and it was in Ireland (which for me was even more cool)!

Thanks to Lorraine our shoot was featured in The Irish Wedding Blog and was a great success. I am so grateful to everyone for this opportunity as it was an incredible first of many.

What inspires you?
People and their stories, architecture, activists, art, interiors, music, writers, film and nature. I’d say that I can take inspiration from a lot of what our planet has to offer but these would be my top go-to’s.

I’m a dreamer and true romantic so love immersing myself in my inspirations and placing this into my work.

How did you break into the industry?

18 months ago I’d sit in my windowless office alone everyday saying to myself that I was made for more and that when the time was right all I had to do was jump.

Never did I, or anyone else for that matter, think that that time was going to be during a pandemic but when I was made redundant from the job I was so miserable in I almost couldn’t have timed it better!

I randomly created something that wasn’t necessarily big in the UK and from

the first post it has just been amazing!

I feel incredibly grateful everyday when I wake up to be doing something that makes me very happy.
