How did we meet ?
We Just kept meeting at weddings, then did some shoots together it was always so easy working together everything just flowed ( it still does) also Great to be able to have tea and chats after our weddings in the most lovely hotels !
What inspires me ?
It’s mostly nature, for me what looks good in nature will look good in make up, the browns and blacks of a leopard, the Greens, browns, rusts and golds of the leaves, the greys of the sky. I have always been into art painting and taking photos so for me it was a very natural transition to make up, contouring was for me just another use of light and shade.
How did I break into the industry
My best friend when I was younger is an amazing make up artist and she used to ask me to come help her on shoots, I got hooked from there ! Going out on my own was a little harder having to push hard to get my name out there with many long days and early mornings. Then I joined Morgan the agency and the rest is history , they are like my family in the fashion world.
What’s my favourite part of the job ?
That’s easy, making people feel amazing, make up doesn’t change a person it only enhances what’s already there, sometimes people forget how beautiful they are and when I put on make up I can see their confidence change a smile on their faces that to me is why I keep doing this job.
As part of my quest to help us women feel more beautiful, I also teach pilates in our studio in Dun Laoghaire. As most people know pilates gives you a great six pack ( great for both Groom and Bride ! ) but it also helps calm and focus the mind again perfect for wedding day nerves and organising the day itself.
It helps with a whole host of aches and pains. Pilates isn’t the only thing we do in the studio we have two movement floors with TRX Rowing and ballet barre, we also have a whole body works floor where we do facials, massage, waxing, nails, skin analysis.
Basically everything you need to feel amazing for your wedding day and after.
