We met at weddings, we’ve had the pleasure of doing so many together now I can’t remember what our very first one was! It’s always such a pleasure walking in on the morning and seeing a friendly face there, and I know the hair is going to be amazing as soon as I see you there on a wedding day!
What inspires you?
To be honest what inspires me most really is my lovely couples!
I get such energy and inspiration from every new couple I meet. I make a real effort to get to know my couple’s before their big day and learn what excites them and what makes them happy…find out their hopes and dreams for their big day.
I then use all this to create a fun, relaxed and friendly atmosphere with them on their wedding day and make sure we have a bit of craic while taking their photos. I walk away from every single wedding on an absolute high and with an impatience for the next wedding I get to shoot.
How did you break into wedding photography?
I really just started from the ground up and worked my way from there to where I am now.
I shot my first wedding for a friend and then a co-worker and then slowly word of mouth started spreading and before I knew it more and more weddings came trickling in.
I was working in a portrait studio when I first started capturing weddings but within a couple of years I was able to leave and pursue weddings full time. I’ve always been so happy to have made that leap of faith and as soon as I threw myself into weddings full time the work increased immensely and thankfully I’ve been happily busy ever since!
My favourite part about my job hands down is all the wonderful people I get to meet !
Weddings are such joyous and special days and luckily enough in my role as photographer I am up there front and centre witnessing all the special moments of a wedding day right alongside the couple.
I’m very much a people person and can’t tell you how lucky I am that my couple’s and their family and friends welcome me into a wedding day with open arms and make me feel so welcome!!
I always leave weddings with a full heart.
