Through our mutual acquaintance, Jasna Pasalic, a very talented photographer I have had the pleasure of working with on many occasions. That’s her handy work in the images attached. The couples I work with inspire me. When I meet a new couple I have the privilege of learning about their journey together – big milestones and even the bumps along their road. I take these snapshots in their lives together as my inspiration for their uniquely crafted script. This makes for a truly memorable ceremony, full of love, laughter and massive sprinklings of what I call ‘gold dust’ (personal anecdotes). How did you break into the industry what did you do before?I was always a keen writer and an avid reader.
Fast forward and my partner proposed. Being propelled into the wonderful world of wedding planning, I came across Celebrant led ceremonies. Intrigued, research ensued. It wasn’t long before I was enrolled on an accredited Family Celebrancy course and qualified as a Celebrant in 2017. I have officiated over 40 ceremonies since and I really haven’t looked back.
I love hearing how a couple met and learning all about what makes them love each other. There is a certain magical spark that’s exchanged when they recall their special milestones, it’s almost as if I have melted away and they are reliving the moment just between them. That’s the feeling I try to capture and reflect on their wedding day.
We have all seen couples having to tragically postpone or cancel their weddings due to the pandemic. But all is not lost. Micro-weddings are becoming ever popular as guests lists are minimised.
