If you were glued to the Golden Globes this weekend, like myself, I’m sure you saw some stars fly and some flop when it came to their fashion and beauty choices. Some of the highlights? The relaxed waves sported by Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Biel and, my personal favorite, the textured side bun worn by the beautiful Charlize Theron, Emma Stone, and Sarah Hyland.

1. Prep blow dried hair with a heat styling mist , then twirl up strands with a 1.5 curling iron. Comb out the curls with a paddle brush to create airy volume and gentle waves.

2. Spritz on a texturizing spray and create a deep side part.

3. Pull hair over to one side right below the ear (note: make sure it’s not too tight–you want the wavy texture to show through). Twist up strands into a loose bun and pin in place.

4. Set it with hairspray  for a touchable hold.
