How did we meet?

We met through a styled shoot we did together for Appleberry Press (I think, or did we do a wedding before that??) We’ve worked on countless weddings and shoots together since and I love working with Lorraine, it’s always a pleasure!

What inspires you?

I’m inspired by lots of different things, fashion, other makeup artists, people I meet or see on the street, there’s inspiration everywhere!!! I always try and attend masterclasses and courses by other artists so it keeps my ideas and training fresh and up to date and I always feel inspired coming away with new techniques or products. You never stop learning in this job! I’m also an Instagram and Pinterest addict! They’re such visual platforms with so many amazing people on there showcasing their talent, there is always something that catches my eye.

How did you break into the industry?

I always had a passion for makeup but having trained and worked as a Graphic Designer for 10 years I thought I had missed the boat on a makeup career. However I decided to do a few courses and see where it took me and after assisting and working on jobs with other artists and slowly doing freelance jobs through my own contacts my business grew and once I launched my website it just took off. I’ve never looked back!

What is your favourite part of your job?

Obviously I love doing the makeup and could paint faces all day but I have to say it’s the people I get to meet makes it all the better. I have worked with so many gorgeous clients and have been so lucky with the people I have had the pleasure of doing makeup for. I’ve also met so many amazing wedding suppliers and professionals in the industry too. I love that no job is ever the same, you’re always somewhere different, with different people or doing a different look. There’s never a dull moment!
